Teacher: In 1940, what were the Poles doing in Russia?
Johnny: Holding up the telephone lines.
~~
Teacher: I hope I didn’t see you looking at Tommy’s test paper.
Johnny: I hope you didn’t see me either!
~~
Teacher: I think you copied off Tommy in that test.
Johnny: What makes you think that?
Teacher: Because when Tommy wrote “I don’t know” next to question five, you
put “Neither do I”
~~
Teacher: Johnny, I told you to write this poem out ten times to improve your
handwriting, but you’ve only done it seven times.
Johnny: Looks like my counting isn’t too good either!
~~
Teacher: Who invented fractions?
Johnny: Henry the Eighth
~~
Teacher: Where’s the English Channel?
Johnny: I don’t know. My TV doesn’t pick it up!
