THOUGHTS OF A BLOOD DONOR. In light of =
catastrophes in America and around the world, many people have been =
challenged to "give blood". It IS still needed, and is a =
gesture of hope, unity, and understanding of the tragedy that befalls =
us.
I went to the Red Cross and gave my blood; it =
reminded me that Jesus gave His.
I gave =
a pint; Christ gave His all.
The =
needle was small and sharp; the nails were large and =
dull.
The table was soft and relaxing; the cross rough =
and painful.
The =
nurses were kind and gentle; Roman soldiers were cruel and =
mean.
The crowd applauds my sacrifice; those who passed =
by Calvary reviled Him.
My =
blood is O positive; His blood is the positive answer for man’s =
sin.
Mine, at best, will prolong life for a while; His, =
without doubt, can save forever!
"In whom we have redemption through His blood, =
even the forgiveness of sins."
New Testament, Colossians 1:14
