[Checking my “sent” file and saw a pun from 15 years ago that I emailed out
to grif.net faithful. It was bad. How bad? Bad enough that I just HAVE to
repeat it today.]

On a trip in New South Wales, Australia, I happened on the little village of
Mercy. At the local cafe, I noted a sign that said “We serve koala.”

Now, I come from Wyoming and when I see “Buffalo Burgers” or “Deep Fried
Rattlesnake”, I just have to have a taste.

So I asked if they had “Koala Burgers” and was told they make EVERYTHING
from those pesky critters. To prove them wrong, I also ordered a cup of tea
made from a koala! My waitress smiled.

I was amazed a few minutes later when I was given my koala burger (which was
delicious) and a steaming cup of tea. The food was great, but floating in
the tea were hair and even an eyeball. I was angry and asked how they could
serve such an awful mess. She simply reminded me that “the koala tea of
Mercy is not strained.”
