Sometimes announcements in a church service or printed in the bulletin don’t
come out exactly as desired:
“The Sunday evening marital workshop ‘Make Time for your Marriage’, has been
canceled due to a scheduling conflict.”
“The Tuesday Weight Watcher meeting has been moved to the fellowship hall.
Please use the wide double-doors to enter from the parking lot.”
“The lecture on the History of Jewish Circumcision has been cut from
tonight’s program.”
The Associate Pastor was giving a stewardship challenge during the morning
service. He ended with encouragement to raise morning money by saying, “I
upped my pledge – Up yours!”
“Indulge your sweet tooth. Everything purchased at the annual bake sale will
go directly into the church’s new plumbing system.”
