01/01/10 New Year’s Grif.Net – Resolutions and Affirmations

January 1, 2010. A time of resolutions. I made one resolution many years
ago and I have stuck to it. (I resolved to no longer make resolutions). At
the end of one year and the start of another, many renewed the commitment to
living with resolutions or affirmations. Here are some that might otherwise
be overlooked.

1. Resolved: I need not suffer in silence while I can still moan, whimper,
and complain.

2. Resolved: I will assume full responsibility for my actions (except for
most of them, that are someone else’s fault).

3. Resolved: I will remember that in some cultures what I do would be
considered normal.

4. Resolved: As I let go of my feelings of guilt, I will get in touch with
my inner sociopath.

5. Resolved: When someone hurts me, I will remember that forgiveness is
cheaper than a lawsuit (but not nearly as rewarding).

6. Resolved: I will be at one with my duality.

7. Resolved: I will strive to live each day as if it were my 100th birthday.

8. Resolved: One day a week I will not sit in my living room all day in my
underwear sending out the grif.net. Instead, I will move my computer into
the bedroom.

9. Resolved: Before I criticize a man, I will walk a mile in his shoes. That
way, if he gets angry, he’s a mile away and barefoot.

10. Resolved: I affirm that the complete lack of evidence is the surest
proof that the conspiracy is working.

Bonus – Resolved: I will no longer waste my time reliving the past; I will
spend it worrying about the future.
