Memorial Day weekend was over, and the pre-school teacher as=
ked her little charges what they had done for the holiday. After hear=
ing of family travel, picnics, and trips to the cemetery, she took the oppo=
rtunity to remind her class about patriotism.
"We live in a great coun=
try," she said. "One of the things about America that makes us ha=
ppy is that, in our country, we are all free."
One little boy came wa=
lking up to her from the back of the room. He stood with his hands on his h=
ips and said, "You’re wrong! I’m not free. I’m four."=
