“Who =
said it?” was an educational [don’t tell my kids] pastime I =
played with my children as we walked or drove, to pique curiosity about =
history, literature, media, culture. It was an era before the =
computer-on-a-phone; today they would not have to research/think but =
just “let their fingers do the walking”. Hmmm. Wonder =
if they know where THAT is from?
So, walk with =
me and try to recall who said each of the following lines. I think =
50% on this tough quiz would be a great score. =
1. =
“Stupid is as stupid does.”
2. =
“Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing.” =
3. =
"Soldiers of my Old Guard: I bid you =
farewell"
4. “Life =
is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.” =
5. “A =
rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” =
6. =
“Aren’t we forgetting the true meaning of Christmas? You know, the =
birth of Santa?"
7. “You =
are a lioness.”
8. =
“I’m lovin’ it.”
9. “If =
you’re going through Hell, keep going.”
10. =
"Baseball is 90 percent mental. The other half is =
physical."
