God rarely =
explains “WHY”.
We are =
preoccupied with ‘Why’ for a number of reasons. "Why?" is a =
‘me-oriented’ question. It is not the question God is primarily =
concerned to answer. He never answered it for Job. =
Table your =
"Why?" long enough to consider a different question: =
"WHO?
Who did this? =
Who is in charge?" Ponder the biblical answer to that question and =
knowing "Why" loses its urgency.
Once you =
settle the "Who?" and submit to that answer, then the next =
question you begin to ask is not "Why?” but =
"HOW?"
How do I =
respond rightly to this? How do I handle this situation and adapt to =
this circumstance in a way that honors God and contributes to =
accomplishing His purposes? "We cannot expect to find the [right] =
answer if we are asking the wrong question.
Thus, the =
question needs to be reframed from ‘WHY me?’ to ‘WHAT =
now?’"
