I am retired =
(and often plain tired, too) but have chosen 6 words to remember each =
day.
1 – Once =
all people in town decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer =
when all gathered, only one boy came with an =
umbrella.
That’s FAITH.
2 – Every night I go =
to bed without any assurance of being alive the next =
morning, but still I set the alarms to wake =
up.
That’s HOPE
3 – When my kids were =
little I would throw them in the air and hear them laugh because they =
knew I would catch them.
That’s =
TRUST.
4 – I still fill out a calendar, with big =
things planned for the month in spite of zero knowledge of the =
future.
That’s CONFIDENCE
5 – I saw a =
world suffering and war and pestilence looming, but still got married =
and had children.
That’s LOVE.
6 – I was =
asked how old I was and immediately replied, ‘I am sweet 16, but =
with 57 years of experience.’
That’s =
ATTITUDE.
