Enjoying Memorial Day Weekend, the wife and I were catching some sun at the
ocean when we noticed a girl with a back pack. She would approach people
with boom boxes and other electronic devices and speak softly to them.
Occasionally she would reach in her pack, exchange a small package for cash,
and walk off.
“She’s probably dealing drugs,” said my wife.
I couldn’t resist, and had to see for myself. I hustled across the beach to
catch up to the gal, chat for a moment, then return to our blanket.
“Is she selling drugs?” Teresa asked anxiously.
“No, she’s not. Actually, she’s selling batteries.”
“You don’t mean…?”
“Yep,” I finished her sentence. “She sells c-cells by the sea shore!”
