A friend asked m=
e what I used to say (or still say now) when I announced “it’s =
time to go” after a visit. I always tried to be funny (you all =
expected that, right) like . . .
“Time to put an egg in my shoe an=
d beat it” or
“Time to make like a cow-pie and hit the trail=
”
Now I’ve mellowed into an “old timer”=
; and say
“Time to get out of Dodge” or
“Make like =
a tree and leaf” or
“Time to rock and roll”
=
How about YOU? Want to share your go-to phrase(s) when it’=
s time for you “to get this show on the road?” I need some new =
material for my own use; I’ll post YOUR suggestions next week to help=
others, too..
