A pastor was asked to speak to an audience of 150 teens. =
He pulled out a crisp $20 bill and asked, “Who wants this $20 bill?&#=
8221;
All 150 teens nodded.
He said, “I am going to give this money to someone,=
but first….” He then proceeded to crumple up the bill and aske=
d the crowd again if anyone wanted it.
=
All 150 hands went up in the air.
The pastor the=
n dropped the money on the floor and stomped all over it. Again, he raised =
it in the air to show the crowd. The money was filthy. “Does anyone w=
ant it now?”
Every hand went up again.
=
His message was simple. No matter what he =
did to ruin the money, people still wanted it because its value remain=
ed the same. It was still worth $20.
&n=

His sermon was short. “Life will beat =
you up to the point where you feel helpless, inadequate, worthless. You wil=
l deal with bad circumstances and make bad choices that must be dealt with =
later. However, no matter what you go through, your value will remain =
the same. You have something special to offer that no one can take away fro=
m you.”
Good for me to remember today.
