The wife sent me to Kohl’s to return a pair of =
slacks that did not fit. I was at the friendly customer-service desk, =
making small talk with the clerk. They have a super return policy but =
wanted to know if the size was miss-marked, had a defect or =
damage. Of course, I was just the typical husband, not privy to =
the whys or wherefores. Why was it returned?
With my best deer-in-the-headlights look I finally =
stumbled out, “Just say, ‘they hurt her =
feelings’”.
I got a knowing grin in return.
