few changes have come into my life lately. =
Frankly, I’ve become a frivolous old gal. I =
don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea about me, but I will admit =
to you that I’m seeing five gentlemen every day.
As =
soon as I wake up, it takes Will Power to help me get out of bed. =
The=
n, of course, I go quickly to see John.
Nex=
t, Charlie Horse comes along, and when he is here, he takes a lot of my =
time and attention.
Whe=
n he leaves, Arthur Ritis shows up and stays the rest of the day. He =
doesn’t like to stay in one place very long, so he goes from joint =
to joint.
Aft=
er such a busy day, I’m really tired and glad to go to bed with =
Ben Gay.
Wha=
t a life! And if five weren’t enough, I’m also =
flirting with a sixth fellow – Al Zymer, I think.
Why=
confess all this? The preacher came to call the other day. He said at =
my age I should be thinking of the hereafter. I told him, “Oh I do =
it all the time. No matter where I am, on the porch, upstairs, in the =
kitchen, or down in the basement, I ask myself, “Now, what am I =
here after?”
