A woman was in the hospital for intensive tests. The doctor said to her, “I
have some bad news for you. You only have three months to live.”
“Oh that’s terrible,” the woman sighed. “What would recommend for me to do?”
The doctor replied, “I would advise you to go and get married immediately,
and do everything your new husband tells you to do without hesitation or
question.”
Swallowing hard, the woman asked, “Will I live longer, then?”
“Not really,” replied the doctor, “but it will SEEM longer.”
