Growing up =
with some Jewish roots, Hanukkah meant coin-shaped chocolate =
candy.
These =
coins were foil wrapped and flavored, but I knew they were mint to be =
eaten.
One December I =
ate my coins and then I “borrowed” from my sister (without =
her knowing) and ate all those, too.
That was =
nearly 70 years ago, but pangs of gelt haunt me to this =
day.
