01/23/21 Sanctity of Life Weekend Grif.Net – Choices

Yesterday&#8217=
;s headlines made me sick. Liberal groups celebrated the anniversary of =
Roe v Wade and rejoiced in the slaughter of millions of babies.=A0 One =
group even had NON-BIRTHDAY CAKE to distribute. That is just sick. =

Many of you know that I am "PRO-CHOICE", but NOT as it =
is falsely defined in our wicked post-Christian America. I believe =
people have choices, but once a baby is conceived, OUR CHOICE IS OVER. =

As a pastor =
for 50+ years, I have dealt with the trauma of young (and old) women who =
have had abortions. I have wept with them as they relate the nightmares =
and inner-feelings years after this "simple procedure". Their =
guilt shows abortion will destroy far more than just the unborn baby’s =
life.

But even some =
who claim to be PRO-LIFE make exceptions and show they do not hold to =
the sanctity of life by considering an abortion as a possible =
alternative.

How would you =
handle the following four situations?

1.=A0 There’s =
a preacher and wife who are very poor, living in abject poverty.=A0 They =
already have 14 kids; now she finds out she’s pregnant with her 15th. =
Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you =
consider recommending she get an abortion?

2.=A0 The =
father is ill, the mother has TB.=A0 They have 4 children.=A0 The 1st is =
blind, the 2nd has died, the 3rd is deaf and the 4th has TB.=A0 She =
finds she’s pregnant again.=A0 Given the extreme situation, would you =
consider recommending abortion?

3.=A0 A white =
man rapes a 13 year old black girl and she got pregnant.=A0 If you were =
her parents, would you consider recommending an =
abortion?

4.=A0 A =
teenage girl is pregnant.=A0 She’s not married.=A0 Her fianc=E9 is not =
the father of the baby, and he’s very upset.=A0 Would you consider =
recommending abortion?

_______________=
______INSIGHTS____________________

=A0 If you =
have answered "yes" in any of these =
situations:

*** In the =
first case, this baby was John Wesley, one of the great preachers of the =
19th century and founder of Methodism.

*** In the =
second case, this baby was Ludwig von Beethoven.

*** In the =
third case, this baby was Ethel Waters, the great black gospel =
singer.

*** In the =
fourth case, this baby was Jesus Christ.

Pray today as =
our nation repents of the sin of baby-killing that has become =
“acceptable” to many but is still an abomination to God. =

“Judgment=
surely came on the nation at the command of the Lord, to remove them =
out of His sight, for the sins of King Manasseh, according to all that =
he had done, and also for the innocent blood that he had shed. For he =
filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord would not pardon.=A0 =
(II Kings 24:3-4)
