At a recent =
graveside funeral, the pastor tried to explain the phrase “Dust =
thou art, to dust returnest” concerning the transient nature of =
the human body. Man has nothing in which to boast, as he is made =
from the dust of the earth and returns to the earth. He concluded with =
the solemn reminder, “Remember these two words: But Dust. We =
all are nothing but dust.”
On the ride =
home from the cemetery, young Micah was still pondering those =
words. Finally, he asked, “Mom, listening to the preacher =
left me with one question. What’s the difference between =
‘regular’ dust and ‘butt’ =
dust?”
