Remembering =
those who fought and died to keep America free this Memorial Day =
Weekend, and swore to defend and uphold the Constitution. Would =
God the modern “leaders” who swear that really keep their =
word.

security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, =
shall not be infringed."

Amendment to the US Constitution
While poorly =
written for today’s historically ignorant person (or a person who wants =
to twist the words), let’s review some often-overlooked =
thoughts:
(1) The =
Amendment is really two very different but related =
pieces.
"A well =
regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State" =
refers to the need of the citizenship’s ability as a society to protect =
themselves. At this point in our history, "militias" were =
local bands of organized citizens who protected their regional =
area. Think “Minute Men” called out to Lexington and =
Concord to confront big government’s overstep (yes, they were =
trying to confiscate weapons and limit =
ammunition).
The words =
"well regulated" did NOT mean "under a lot of =
regulation". It had a very different meaning historically. The term =
"regulated" meant "supplied", thus today we would =
say "a well-supplied" militia. (I’m fairly certain the =
Second Amendment haters in our land do not want =
that.)
(2) The next =
important thing is the comma denoting a separate but related =
thought. Two parts sharing the same concluding =
freedom.
(3) Then the =
part every single gun-grabber wants to ignore: "the right of the =
people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be =
infringed."
"The =
people" are NOT the militia; they are individuals. You and me. You =
and I have the right to KEEP (own) and BEAR (use) arms. Nothing about =
hunting, nothing about any sort of particular use. Every American =
citizen has the right to own and use weapons without =
restrictions.
(4) Lastly, we =
reach a conclusion when we put together the first phrase and the second =
phrase =3D Local militias (bands of citizens organized to protect their =
communities) AND we as individuals, both wrapped together with the =
phrase "rights shall not be =
infringed".
The word =
"infringe" means "to encroach or trespass", or =
"to commit a breach or infraction of, violate or transgress". =
That is, shall not be abridged, abbreviated, shortened, or shall we used =
the word "regulated" in the modern =
definition.
Liberal =
progressives, attempting to destroy the second amendment guaranteed =
right, knowingly and intentionally attempt to misinterpret in a =
historically-false way the word "regulated" when history =
shows, and the plain reading of the entire amendment clearly says, you =
and I have a full and robust right to OWN and USE =
firearms.
And if we do =
NOT have the 2nd Amendment, what is to stop the government =
from taking away the 1st Amendment or 5th =
Amendment or 20th Amendment rights? There will be no one to =
stop them.
