04/13/16 Grif.Net – AARP Church

A pastor friend of mine who recently moved to a =
retirement community is thinking about starting a church for senior =
citizens.  He shared plans for preaching, activities and music for =
the new church.  So I suggested CHANGING the words to some old =
hymns slightly, to make them more age-appropriate.

“Precious Lord, Take My Hand, And Help Me =
Up”

“It Is Well with My Soul, But My Knees Still =
Hurt”

“Just a Slower Walk with =
Thee”

“Go Tell It on the Mountain, But Speak =
Up”

“Give Me the Old Timers’ =
Religion”

“Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah, I’ve =
Forgotten Where I Parked”

“O God, Our Help in Ages Past, and in the =
Weeks to Come”

“Be Thou My Vision, and My Hearing and My =
Teeth and . . . “

“Stand Up for Jesus If you =
Can”

And my favorite . . .

“Blessed Insurance”
