[Yep. Today is our 45th wedding anniversary. And yes, my wife is an angel
(always up in the air harping). Here are some “marriage/anniversary”
one-liners that I found funny. Wife? Not so much . . ]

My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met.

A good wife always forgives her husband when she’s wrong.

I was married by a judge. I should have asked for a jury.

The secret of a happy marriage remains a secret.

I haven’t spoken to my wife in 18 months. I don’t like to interrupt her.

My credit card was stolen but I decided not to report it because the thief
was spending less than my wife did.

Man is incomplete until he is married. Then he is finished.

I never knew what real happiness was until I got married; then it was too
late.

It’s not true that married men live longer than single men. It only seems
longer.

Losing a wife can be very hard. In my case, it was almost impossible.

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend; a
successful woman is one who can find such a man.

Woman inspires us to great things, and prevents us from achieving them.

Marriage is the only war where one sleeps with the enemy.

I had some words with my wife, and she had some paragraphs with me.

I’ve had bad luck with all my wives. The first one left me, the second one
didn’t and the third gave me children.

I don’t worry about terrorism. I’ve been married for forty-five years.
