06/09/14 Grif.Net – Dog or Wife

June means weddings and anniversaries (including my own 44th). Ben forwarded
this comparison as to why a man should get a DOG, not a wife. Oh, my. HE
said this, not ME.

CHOICE – A DOG OR A WIFE?
Dogs don’t cry
Dogs love it when your friends come over
Dogs don’t care if you use their shampoo
Dogs think you sing great
A dog’s time in the bathroom is confined to a quick drink
Dogs don’t expect you to call when you are running late (the later you are,
the more exited dogs are to see you)
Dogs don’t mind if you give their offspring away
Dogs understand that passing gas is funny
Dogs love red meat
Dogs can appreciate excessive body hair
If a dog is gorgeous, other dogs don’t hate it
Dogs don’t shop
Dogs like it when you leave lots of things on the floor
Dogs never need to examine a relationship
A dog’s parents never visit
Dogs understand that instincts are better than asking for directions
When a dog gets old and starts to snap at you, you shoot it
Dogs don’t hate their bodies
No dog ever put on 100 pounds after reaching adulthood
Dogs never criticize
Dogs never expect gifts
Its legal to keep a dog chained up at your house
Dogs don’t worry about germs
Dogs like to do their snooping outside, as opposed to your wallet, desk, and
the back of your sock drawer
Dogs don’t let magazine articles guide their lives
Dogs would rather have a hamburger dinner than a lobster one
You never have to wait for a dog, they are ready to go 24 hours a day
Dogs have no use for flowers, cards, or jewelry
Dogs never want foot rubs
Dogs can’t talk
Dogs seldom outlive you

I am not sharing Ben’s last name or address for his own protection

[note – the weekend grif.net shared a poem attributed to the late Maya
Angelou. She did not compose the original poem; this altered version is
credited to her in a speech she gave. But do want the record to be clear
that the original poem was penned by Carol Wimmer, 1988]
