03/14/14 Grif.Net – 24,106

March 14th is an auspicious day in the history of America because of the
phenomenal number of great people born on that single day.

March 14th – Albert Einstein, the great theoretical physicist
March 14th – Billy Crystal, the great comedian
March 14th – Eugene Cernan, the great Apollo astronaut
March 14th – Michael Caine, the great actor
March 14th – S Truett Cathy, the great businessman (Chick-fil-A)
March 14th – Johann Strauss, the great composer
March 14th – Hank Ketchum, the great cartoonist (Dennis the Menace)
March 14th – Kirby Puckett, the great baseball star

And combining all those traits into one persona – intelligent, athletic,
musical, humorous, adventurous – and yet still remaining humble, is another
famous man celebrating a birthday on March 14th. Coincidence? I think not.

And I’m not just celebrating 66 years. While that sounded like I was really
“old”, a [former] friend said that as of today I am actually 24,106 days
old. Yep. That is how many have passed since that Sunday I was born, but
have to admit 24,106 makes me sound like second cousin to Methuselah!

[ps – my wife gave me a crocheted doll for my birthday. Hmmm.]
