From my wife I heard this story: I was thrilled to get an older model Elna
sewing machine to set up at home to teach my granddaughter some basic sewing
while she was here for a few weeks.
After I had gone through a lengthy explanation of how to thread the machine,
use the foot pedal, work the bobbin, the arm, the feed, etc, she stepped
back, put her hands on her hips, and said in disbelief, “You mean you can do
all that, but you can’t turn on the Wii we got you last summer?”
