An anonymous grif.net reader sent me some “unusual” bulletin statements . .
7:30 pm Good Friday Service: The final message will be “Why Doesn’t God Do
Something”, with our Pastor.
On Maundy Thursday we will re-enact the Last Supper and journey to the
Garden of Gethsemane. We will strip the altar and the sanctuary of all color
and symbol. Together we will leave the church bare and in silence.”
Easter Sunday evening we will have a special message to begin a season of
renewal. It will focus on “Becoming a Holy Man” and “Delivering a Holy
Massage”.
And must add this one, from Pastor Steven Becker in Theresa, NY, who
transposed a couple of words in the reading of Mark 1:9. “At that time
Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by Jordan in the John.”
I’da like to have seen that!!
